What are the common symptoms of allergies?
Runny nose, sneezing, and congestion.eye allergies

How do allergies directly affect the eyes?
Primarily through itchy, watery, and red eyes.

What is meant by the term allergic conjunctivitis? Is that the same as “pink eye?”
Red eyes caused specifically by an allergen either airborne or direct contact. Many people are allergic to pollens, grass, dust, mold, etc. which will cause an allergic response. This is different from pink eye.

What is the difference between seasonal and perennial allergies? How would I know the difference?
Seasonal allergies are caused from pollens, grasses, and blooms; especially during the spring. Perennial allergies include dust, mold, animal dander, etc.

Can allergies do permanent damage to eyes?
Overuse of certain vasoconstrictors can cause worse redness and irritation via a rebound effect or becoming desensitized to these drops.

What are the treatment options available for this condition?
Prescription eye drops are very effective in most cases.
